Nissan supports revitalization of Greenview Drive in Mississippi by building a Habitat House
Nissan volunteers will add hard hats and tool belts to their work attire as they continue a partnership with Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area (HFHMCA) that began nearly a decade ago. Nissan is focusing its efforts on Greenview Drive – the deteriorated south Jackson street that is being revitalized thanks to HFHMCA and its supporters.

Today, Nissan North America celebrated the production of its 3-millionth vehicle at the Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant located in Canton, Mississippi. Employees and plant leadership were joined by Arnel Bolden, Mayor of the City of Canton, to commemorate this important milestone.

Nissan awards $89,360 in grants to fund innovative learning opportunities for Mississippi students
Today Nissan and BankPlus will award 34 grants totaling $89,360 to fund creative educational projects taught by teachers in the Canton and Madison County school districts. The Nissan/BankPlus Education Mini-Grant Program, administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson, has awarded $560,000 to local schools since the program was created in 2007.

Nissan's Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant has gone global as the company rolls the first all-new 2015 Nissan Murano off the line today, marking the first time the model has been produced in the U.S. Nissan Canton is now the company's worldwide hub for Murano production, expanding export opportunities from the plant to more than 100 markets.
