Production Nissan’s global production in January increased 2.4% from a year earlier. Production in Japan declined 14.7%. Production outside Japan increased 6.2%. Production in Mexico surpassed year-earlier results by 0.3%. Production in China surpassed year-earlier results by 31.0%. 2. Sales Global sales in January declined 1.9% from a year earlier. Sales including minivehicles in Japan surpassed year-earlier results by 2.3%, the fourth consecutive monthly increase. Sales of registered vehicles in Japan surpassed year-earlier results by 3.9%. Minivehicle sales in Japan surpassed year-earlier results by 0.2%. Sales outside Japan declined 2.5% from a year earlier. Sales in China surpassed year-earlier results by 23.8% 3.
