Established in 1992, the mission of the Nissan Foundation is to build community through valuing cultural diversity. Over the last 30 years, the Nissan Foundation has awarded more than $13 million nonprofit organizations that support the Foundation’s mission. The Nissan Foundation is part of Nissan Americas’ commitment to enriching people’s lives by helping to meet the needs of communities throughout the U.S. through philanthropic investments, corporate outreach sponsorships and other charitable contributions.

 


The Nissan Foundation kicked off 30 years of building inclusive communities by turning the spotlight on grantees through a monthly storytelling series. On October 25, the Foundation’s 30th anniversary commemoration culminated with a first-of-its-kind Symposium, hosted at the company’s regional headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, bringing together grantees, thought leaders and Nissan employees for a day of dialogue about the importance of cultural understanding.

Nissan Foundation grantee spotlight: One to World

With a grant from the Nissan Foundation, the Tanenbaum Center’s World Olympics curriculum helps educators teach students the necessary skills to demonstrate respectful curiosity about differences
