2019 Nissan Sentra Overview

The Nissan Sentra has been a mainstay in the compact sedan segment for more than 35 years and seven generations. Sentra is designed to elevate everyday driving – with a choice of high-value models ranging from the entry Sentra S, to the sporty Sentra SR and well-equipped Sentra SL, to the motorsports-inspired Sentra NISMO.

For the 2019 model year, all Sentra grades (except Sentra S) receive standard NissanConnectSM featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. A Nissan "Family" Exterior

The 2019 Sentra exterior combines a sense of sportiness with its refined style and proportions. Key features of the Sentra exterior include a bold front fascia, grille, fenders, hood and signature boomerang-shaped headlights. LED low-beam headlights with LED signature accents are offered on Sentra SR and Sentra SL grades. In the rear, the boomerang-shaped taillights add a more premium appearance.
 
The Sentra exterior design is elegant, modern and refined, reflecting a "professional" character targeted at upwardly bound buyers who aspire to drive something more upscale than other designs in the segment. Exterior features include chrome door handles and chrome window accents, and available heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signals.

The Sentra SR offers a sportier appearance, with unique design 17-inch 10-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels, lower body side sill extensions, rear spoiler with integrated LED brake light, fog lights and chrome exhaust tip finisher.

Eight colors are available – Brilliant Silver, Super Black, Aspen White (premium color), Gun Metallic, Red Alert, Scarlet Ember (premium color), Fresh Powder and Deep Blue Pearl.

A Roomy, Refined Interior Environment

Inside, the 2019 Sentra features one of the largest interiors in its class, with 111.0 cubic feet of total interior volume. Helping make this possible is the long wheelbase (106.3 inches), which helps provide both ample rear seat legroom of 37.4 inches and large trunk capacity of 15.1 cubic feet. The rear seat is a standard 60/40-split fold-down design, adding versatility to the large trunk space.

The intuitive interior layout emphasizes driver control and exceptional seat comfort for all occupants. The high-quality interior design features materials not usually found in compact vehicles, including soft-touch instrument panel and door armrests and available leather-appointed seating.

Standard features include a 6-way manual driver's seat, 4-way manual front passenger's seat, front and rear door pockets, front center console with padded armrest and cupholders, rear seat armrest with cupholders, air conditioning with in-cabin microfilter and available Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system.

Other features include tilt and telescopic steering column, power windows with driver's one-touch auto up/down with auto reverse, power door locks with auto-locking feature, remote keyless entry, Nissan Intelligent Key® keyless entry with push button ignition and standard RearView Monitor.

For 2019, all models except Sentra S include standard NissanConnect featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. The standard Sentra audio system is an AM/FM system with four speakers and USB connection for iPod® and other compatible devices. Other available audio systems include a 6-speaker AM/FM system with 7.0-inch color touch-screen display and an 8-speaker Bose® Premium audio system with 7.0-inch color touch-screen display. Also available is SiriusXM® Satellite Radio (SiriusXM® subscription required, sold separately), while Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System is standard on all grades. All grades (except S 6MT) include a 5.0-inch Advanced Drive-Assist™ Display (ADAD) located between the tachometer and speedometer.

Advanced Safety Shield Technologies

A number of Nissan's advanced Safety Shield Technologies are also available – Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)1 (standard on Xtronic transmission-equipped models except Sentra NISMO) and available Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).

In addition, Sentra's list of standard safety and security features include the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) with dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt and occupant classification sensors; front seat-mounted side impact supplemental air bags; roof-mounted curtain side impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection; 3-point front and rear seatbelts, front seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters and adjustable upper anchors; and LATCH System (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren).

Sentra also offers child safety rear door locks; Zone Body construction featuring front and rear crumple zones and occupant zone; Nissan Immobilizer system and anti-theft alarm system; and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with position monitoring and available Easy Fill Tire Alert system.

Fuel-Efficient 1.8-liter Engine and Advanced Xtronic Transmission

All 2019 Sentra models (except SR Turbo and Sentra NISMO) utilize a fuel-efficient 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to an advanced Xtronic transmission with sub-planetary gear. A 6-speed manual transmission is also available with the Sentra S grade.

The engine offers a longer stroke than typical engines in its class, resulting in improved combustion speed and efficiency. It is equipped with a twin Continuously Variable Timing Control (CVTC) system that modulates both the intake and exhaust valve opening time (similar to that used on the flagship Nissan Maxima). In addition, the valve springs are shaped similar to a beehive, with a smaller diameter towards the top – reducing inertial weight, improving valvetrain efficiency and smoothing engine operation. The engine is rated at 124 horsepower (130 horsepower S 6MT) and 125 lb-ft of torque (128 lb-ft S 6MT).

The Xtronic transmission offers a wide gear ratio range of 7.3:1 through use of a sub-planetary gear and smaller pulleys, resulting in high-speed fuel efficiency and responsive acceleration. The Xtronic's acceleration feel is enhanced with a D-mode step shift program that simulates shifts, giving a more natural acceleration feeling without holding a high rpm constant, letting rpms build as speed builds. The D-Step Logic Control helps provide enhanced drivability with a stable, natural and crisp shift feel.

Fuel economy2 is rated at 29 mpg city, 37 mpg highway and 32 mpg combined with the Xtronic transmission. The Sentra S with 6-speed manual transmission is rated at 27 mpg city, 35 mpg highway and 30 mpg combined3.

The 2019 Sentra also delivers responsive handling through an independent strut front suspension with stabilizer bar and torsion beam rear suspension with integrated stabilizer bar. The suspension also utilizes high frequency-response shock absorbers.

Sentra also features standard Active Understeer Control system (not available on S 6MT or NISMO), similar to that utilized on Altima. The AUC system utilizes intelligent control logic and high-response brake actuators to lightly brake the inside front wheels during cornering (as required) to increase yaw-moment. Using the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)/Traction Control System (TCS) as its base, Active Understeer Control is almost undetectable when it operates.

Vehicle speed-sensitive Electric Power Steering (EPS) and power-assisted vented front disc/rear drum braking system are standard, with 4-wheel disc brakes standard on SR and SL grades and optionally available on SV.

Available wheels and tire combinations include 16-inch steel wheels with full covers for S or 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels for SV grade – with 205/55R16 size all-season tires. Sentra SR and SL grades feature 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 205/50R17 all-season tires (optional on SV).

A Range of Well-Equipped Models

The 2019 Nissan Sentra is offered in five models: S 6MT, S Xtronic, SV, SR and SL. 2019 Nissan Sentra NISMO Overview

The Sentra NISMO, with its motorsports-inspired NISMO factory-tuned style and performance, offers a comprehensive transformation from everyday sedan to a highly personal performance machine – including an aggressive exterior treatment, performance-oriented interior and unique suspension tuning.

The Sentra NISMO is the latest in a long line of compact Nissan performance sedans going back nearly 50 years to the Datsun 510 and the original Sentra SE-R. The 2019 Sentra NISMO model's comprehensive transformation from everyday sedan to a highly personal performance machine includes aggressive exterior treatment, performance-oriented interior and unique suspension tuning.

Now in its third year of availability, the 2019 Sentra NISMO adds NissanConnectSM featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ as standard equipment for the new model year.

A Distinctive Presence

The first thing most people notice about the Sentra NISMO is its highly aggressive presence, which goes even above the sporty Sentra SR and Sentra SR Turbo grades. Applying the NISMO philosophy of "totally balanced tuning for high speed driving, to provide ultimate driving pleasure," the Sentra NISMO aerodynamic design focus was on realizing zero lift without harming overall coefficient of drag (Cd). Therefore, while Sentra NISMO offers the same 0.29 Cd as standard Sentra models, it offers a 30 percent reduction in lift force.

Beyond the aerodynamic enhancements, the overall exterior appearance is instantly recognized as pure NISMO with its signature "layered double wing" design in the front, side and rear lower body panels. A thin red stripe accents the lower panels.

In front, a unique front fascia dominates, along with standard LED Daytime Running Lights, NISMO dark chrome V-Motion grille and NISMO badge. Other styling features include unique side sills, NISMO rear fascia and spoiler, NISMO exhaust finisher, dark chrome door handles and trunk finisher, rear NISMO badge and black NISMO outside mirror caps with integrated turn signals and NISMO red stripe.

Helping give Sentra NISMO its aggressive stance, while also helping enhance handling performance, are 18-inch NISMO 10-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels mounted with specially selected 215/45R18 Michelin Pilot Sport all-season tires. Ride height has also been reduced by 0.4-inch.

Inside, the Sentra NISMO interior is designed to support exciting driving – starting with unique NISMO front seats with logo and additional side bolstering. The rear seats feature unique cloth material with red stitching.

Red motorsports-inspired accents are found throughout the interior, including on the unique Alcantara and leather-wrapped steering wheel, the push button start with red start ring, NISMO meter cluster with red tachometer, leather shifter knob and NISMO embroidered carpets. A dark headliner and NISMO logo on the instrument panel complete the special interior treatment. Just one interior color is offered, Charcoal with red accents.

Balanced Performance

At the heart of any NISMO-badged production vehicle is the engine, such as the GT-R NISMO's 600-horsepower 3.8-liter V6. For the Sentra NISMO, the engineers started with a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that fit perfectly within the aerodynamically aggressive Sentra NISMO bodywork. More than just an engine transplant, however, the motorsports-inspired transformation from practical sedan to a vehicle worthy of the NISMO badge involved a precisely balanced tuning of body, interior, chassis, suspension, steering and powertrain.

As a pure factory tuned performance vehicle, Sentra NISMO offers buyers something aftermarket tuners can't – a balanced approach that goes deep under the skin of the vehicle with modifications to the structural integrity.

Starting with the solid Sentra body, which packs ample interior roominess in a compact-size exterior, the Sentra NISMO body structure is enhanced with a number of factory tuned body reinforcements. The cowl is thicker and vehicle floor and rear parcel shelf are reinforced to stiffen the body structure, improving responsiveness to steering inputs – helping provide an enhanced platform for the engine and NISMO-tuned suspension. Every single aspect from front fascia to rear spoiler and everything in between is designed to work together to provide an enhanced driving experience – with equal emphasis on power and handling.

The power side of the equation comes in the form of Sentra NISMO's 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIGÔ) turbocharged engine, which is shared with the Sentra SR Turbo model. Rated at 188 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 177 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 - 5,200 RPM, the 16-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy inline 4-cylinder engine includes a 10.5:1 compression ratio, Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), spray-coated and mirror-finish cylinder bores, a variable pressure oil pump and a low-pressure EGR system, which helps lower exhaust gas temperature and improve knock sensitivity.

The Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) includes an intermediate lock function on the intake side, while the use of spray-coated and mirror-finish cylinder bores (versus the iron liners) provides an estimated 12 percent reduction in internal friction, which also improves anti-knock performance and reduces engine weight. The DIGÔ system helps improve combustion, enhancing power, torque, economy and emissions, while the use of the turbocharger and intercooler helps boost power. The variable timing control for both intake and exhaust cycles improves low-end engine response.

The engine is matched with choice of a 6-speed manual transmission, with gear ratios selected to take maximum advantage of the engine's powerband and torque curve, or an advanced, tuned Xtronic transmission.

For buyers choosing the Xtronic transmission, it has been specially tuned to match the engine's performance. Acceleration feel is enhanced with the Xtronic's D-mode step shift program, giving a more linear acceleration feeling without holding a high rpm constant, letting rpms build as speed builds.

Delivering on the handling aspect of the Sentra NISMO, the engineering team sought to provide a noticeable improvement even beyond the enhanced performance of the sporty Sentra SR Turbo. Five key areas were designated to meet the NISMO standards – handling response, grip, steering feel, body control and ride/handling balance.

The NISMO-tuned independent strut front/rear torsion beam suspension adopts monotube rear dampers and unique tuning of the front springs and struts. The lightweight monotube shock design features separate oil and gas chambers and high-pressure gas charge to help provide quicker response to damper stroke and velocity changes. Faster damper response means faster reaction to changing steering or road conditions. In addition, the NISMO tuning of the springs and struts helps improve body control (roll and pitch) for higher demand cornering.

Steering effort of the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system has also been specially tuned to provide a "NISMO feel." The special dialing in of the effort/response relationship helps provide good highway and winding road feedback, precise on-center definition without overly high driver effort and a linear, direct steering feel at turn-in.

Also contributing to the overall handling performance is the unique Sentra NISMO wheel and tire combination. Utilizing NISMO 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels mounted with 215/45ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport all-season tires, cornering power and grip levels are improved, even over the Sentra SR Turbo. For customers seeking maximum grip, high-performance 215/45WR18 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R summer tires are available through Nissan dealers.

The Sentra NISMO steering system includes a larger steering motor and revised electronic mapping to provide reduced effort at parking and low speeds (versus non-turbo engine equipped Sentra models). The Sentra NISMO also utilizes a 4-wheel disc brake system with 11.7-inch vent front discs and 11.5-inch solid rear discs.

2019 Nissan Sentra SR Turbo Overview

• 188-horsepower SR Turbo takes Sentra's performance and fun-to-drive factor to a whole new level

The Sentra SR Turbo takes the sporty look and performance of the popular Sentra SR and kicks things up a notch. For 2019, Sentra SR Turbo adds NissanConnectSM featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ as standard equipment.

At the heart of the 2019 Sentra SR Turbo is its 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG™) turbocharged engine that delivers a 50 percent horsepower increase from the normally aspirated 1.8-liter Sentra SR powerplant. Rated at 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque, the SR Turbo engine offers 64 more horsepower and 52 more lb-ft of torque than non-turbo Sentra models1 (except Sentra S 6MT model, rated at 130 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque.).

The SR Turbo is based on the popular Sentra SR grade level, which accounts for more than 15 percent total Sentra sales. The SR Turbo maintains the SR's unique sporty exterior, interior and wheel treatments.

Under the skin, however, things get radically different. The 16-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy inline 4-cylinder engine includes a 10.5:1 compression ratio, Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), spray-coated and mirror-finish cylinder bores, a variable pressure oil pump and a low-pressure EGR system, which helps lower exhaust gas temperature and improve knock sensitivity.

The Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) includes an intermediate lock function on the intake side, while the use of spray-coated and mirror-finish cylinder bores (versus the iron liners) provides an estimated 12 percent reduction in internal friction, which also improves anti-knock performance and reduces engine weight.

The DIG™ system helps improve combustion, enhancing power, torque, economy and emissions, while the use of the turbocharger and intercooler helps boost power. The variable timing control for both intake and exhaust cycles improves low-end engine response.

The SR Turbo's performance is not only about the engine. To help handle the increased power and torque, significant changes were made to the suspension, steering and brakes to give the SR Turbo a great driving feel. The enhancements to the independent strut front/rear torsion beam suspension are designed to handle the increased power and include a 10 percent increase in front spring stiffness. The SR Turbo-specific front and rear dampers have been optimized for use with the 17-inch wheels and tires – front damping has been increased 23 percent and rear damping by 50 percent.

In addition, the suspension benefits from body enhancements that range from increased front cowl thickness to a special steering gear mounting. The Electric Power Steering (EPS) system changes include a larger steering motor and revised electronic mapping to provide a balanced feel between reduced effort at parking and low speed situations and enhanced feedback on highways and winding roads.

Larger front brakes and calipers are utilized in the SR Turbo's 4-wheel disc brake system – 11.7-inch vent front (versus the 11.0-inch front discs of the standard Sentra) and 11.5-inch solid rear discs. In addition, the Active Understeer Control system has been optimized for the SR Turbo.

The result of the special powertrain, unique suspension tuning and other enhancements is an improved acceleration feeling from standing starts and highway passing, along with improved handling response and enhanced ride comfort.

Like the non-Turbo Sentra SR, the exterior is marked by LED low beam projector headlights with LED accents, lower body side sill extensions, rear spoiler with integrated LED brake light, fog lights, chrome exhaust finisher, heated outside mirrors with LED turn signals, and unique design 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 205/50R17 all-season tires. At a Glance: 2019 Nissan Sentra

The Nissan Sentra has been a mainstay in the compact sedan segment for more than 35 years and seven generations. Sentra is designed to elevate everyday driving – with a choice of high-value models ranging from the entry Sentra S, to the sporty Sentra SR and well-equipped Sentra SL, to the motorsports-inspired Sentra NISMO.

For the 2019 model year, all Sentra grades (except Sentra S) receive standard NissanConnectSM with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Also new is the SV Special Edition Package, which features 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), power sliding glass moonroof with tilt feature, center room dim lamp (LED), dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors and Special Edition badge.

The Sentra exterior design reflects Nissan's design language and features bold front and rear fascias, grille, fenders, hood and signature boomerang-shaped headlights and taillights. Sentra SR and SL grades offer LED low-beam headlights with LED signature accents.

Inside, Sentra features ample room in a compact-size exterior, including an outstanding 37.4 inches of rear seat legroom. The intuitive interior layout emphasizes driver control and exceptional seat comfort for all occupants. The high-quality interior design features materials not usually found in compact vehicles, including soft-touch instrument panel and door armrests and available leather-appointed seating.

A number of Nissan's advanced Safety Shield Technologies are available on Sentra, including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)1 (standard on Xtronic transmission-equipped models except Sentra NISMO) and available Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).

All normally aspirated Sentra models utilize a fuel-efficient 124-horsepower 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to an advanced Xtronic transmission with sub-planetary gear. A 6-speed manual transmission is also available with the Sentra S grade.

Fuel economy2 is rated at 29 mpg city, 37 mpg highway and 32 mpg combined with the Xtronic transmission. The Sentra S with 6-speed manual transmission is rated at 27 mpg city, 35 mpg highway and 30 mpg combined3.

Sentra also features standard Active Understeer Control system (not available on S 6MT grade or Sentra NISMO), similar to that utilized on the Nissan Altima. The AUC system utilizes intelligent control logic and high-response brake actuators to lightly brake the inside front wheels during cornering (as required) to increase yaw-moment. Using the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)/Traction Control System (TCS) as its base, Active Understeer Control is almost undetectable when it operates.

The Sentra NISMO, with its motorsports-inspired NISMO factory-tuned style and performance, offers a comprehensive transformation from everyday sedan to a highly personal performance machine – including an aggressive exterior treatment, performance-oriented interior and unique suspension tuning.

Now in its third year of availability, the 2019 Sentra NISMO adds NissanConnectSM featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ as standard equipment.

Again for 2019, the Sentra NISMO's motorsports-inspired exterior features NISMO signature "layered double wing" design treatments in the front, side and rear lower body panels, with thin red stripe accents wrapping the lower panels. In front, a unique fascia dominates, along with standard LED Daytime Running Lights, NISMO black grille and NISMO badge. Other unique styling features include unique side sills, NISMO rear fascia and spoiler, NISMO exhaust finisher, chrome door handles and trunk finisher, rear NISMO badge and black NISMO outside mirror caps with integrated turn signals and NISMO red stripe. Inside, the Sentra NISMO interior is designed to support exciting driving – starting with unique NISMO front seats with logo and additional side bolstering. The rear seats feature unique cloth material with red stitching. Red motorsports-inspired accents are seen throughout the interior, including on the unique Alcantara® and leather-wrapped steering wheel, the push button start with red start ring, NISMO meter cluster and red tachometer, leather shift knob and NISMO embroidered carpets. As expected of any vehicle wearing the NISMO badge, the Sentra NISMO offers ample power under the hood. The 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIGÔ) turbocharged engine is rated at 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. The 16-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy inline 4-cylinder engine includes a 10.5:1 compression ratio, a Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), spray-coated and mirror-finish cylinder bores and a variable pressure oil pump. The DIGÔ system helps improve combustion, enhancing power, torque, economy and emissions, while use of the turbocharger and intercooler helps boost power. The variable timing control for both intake and exhaust cycles improves low-end engine response.

The engine is matched with choice of a 6-speed manual transmission, with gear ratios selected to take maximum advantage of the engine's powerband and torque curve, or an advanced, tuned Xtronic transmission.

The Sentra NISMO also features enhanced body structure and NISMO-tuned steering and suspension tuning (versus standard Sentra models). The NISMO-tuned independent strut front/rear torsion beam suspension adopts monotube rear dampers and unique tuning of the front springs and struts. The lightweight monotube shock design features separate oil and gas chambers and high-pressure gas charge to help provide quicker response to damper stroke and velocity changes. Faster damper response means faster reaction to changing steering or road conditions. In addition, NISMO tuning of the springs and struts helps improve body control (roll and pitch) for higher demand cornering.

Steering effort of the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system has also been specially tuned to provide a "NISMO feel." The special dialing-in of the effort/response relationship helps provide good highway and winding road feedback, precise on-center definition without overly high driver effort and a linear, direct steering feel at turn-in.

Also contributing to the overall handling performance is the unique Sentra NISMO wheel and tire combination. Utilizing NISMO 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels mounted with 215/45ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport all-season tires, cornering power and grip levels are improved. For customers seeking maximum grip, high-performance 215/45WR18 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R summer tires are available through Nissan dealers.

The Sentra SR Turbo takes the sporty look and performance of the popular Sentra SR and kicks things up a notch with more power, enhanced handling and unique features. For 2019, Sentra SR Turbo adds NissanConnectSM featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ as standard equipment.

At the heart of the 2019 Sentra SR Turbo is its 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG™) turbocharged engine that delivers a 50 percent horsepower increase from the normally aspirated 1.8-liter Sentra SR powertrain. Rated at 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque, the SR Turbo engine offers 64 more horsepower and 52 more lb-ft of torque than non-turbo Sentra models¹ (except Sentra S 6MT model, rated at 130 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque.)

To help handle the increased power and torque, the Sentra SR Turbo features an enhanced body structure, revised steering system, larger front disc brakes, Xtronic transmission with manual mode and unique suspension tuning. The result is improved acceleration feeling from standing starts and highway passing, improved handling and enhanced ride comfort (versus non-turbo Sentra models).

The Sentra SR Turbo model's 16-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy inline 4-cylinder engine includes a 10.5:1 compression ratio, a Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), spray-coated and mirror-finish cylinder bores and a variable pressure oil pump. The DIG™ system helps improve combustion, enhancing power, torque, economy and emissions, while use of the turbocharger and intercooler helps boost power. The variable timing control for both intake and exhaust cycles improves low-end engine response. Taken together, the engine combines spirited performance and efficient fuel economy.

The enhancements to the suspension are designed to handle the increased power and include a 10 percent increase in front spring stiffness. The SR Turbo-specific front and rear damper tuning has been optimized for use with the 17-inch wheels and tires – front damping has been increased 23 percent and rear damping by 50 percent. In addition, the suspension benefits from body enhancements ranging from increased front cowl thickness to unique steering gear mounting.

The changes to the standard Electric Power Steering (EPS) system include a larger steering motor and remapped electronic to provide a balanced feel between reduced effort at parking and low speed situations and enhanced feedback on highways and winding roads. Larger front brakes and calipers are also utilized, and Sentra's Active Understeer Control system has been optimized for the SR Turbo.

The Sentra SR Turbo includes a standard power sliding glass moonroof with tilt feature and SR Turbo badging. Like the non-turbo Sentra SR, the exterior is marked by LED low beam projector headlights with LED accents, lower bodyside sill extensions, rear spoiler with integrated LED brake light, fog lights, chrome exhaust finisher, heated outside mirrors with LED turn signals, and unique design 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 205/50R17 all-season tires.

Inside, both SR and SR Turbo grades include sport interior trim, premium sport cloth seats, driver's seatback pocket and heated front seats. 2019 Nissan Sentra NISMO Pricing

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan today announced U.S. pricing for the 2019 Nissan Sentra, which is on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide. For the 2019 model year, all Sentra grades (except Sentra S) receive standard NissanConnect^SM with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

Also new is the SV Special Edition Package, which features 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), power sliding glass moonroof with tilt feature, center room dim lamp (LED), dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors and Special Edition badge.

The 2019 Sentra lineup includes Sentra S (6MT and Xtronic), Sentra SV (Xtronic), Sentra SR (Xtronic), Sentra SL (Xtronic), SR Turbo (Xtronic) and Sentra NISMO (6MT and Xtronic). Pricing starts at $17,790¹ for the Sentra S with 6-speed manual transmission.

All normally aspirated Sentra models utilize a fuel-efficient 124-horsepower 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to an advanced Xtronic transmission with sub-planetary gear. A 6-speed manual transmission is also available with the Sentra S grade (when equipped with the manual, the Sentra S has 130 horsepower). The Sentra SR Turbo and Sentra NISMO feature a 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIGÔ) turbocharged engine that delivers 188 horsepower. The Sentra NISMO offers a choice of 6-speed manual or specially tuned Xtronic transmission.

The Sentra SR offers a sportier appearance, with unique design 17-inch 10-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels, lower body side sill extensions, rear spoiler with integrated LED brake light, fog lights and chrome exhaust tip finisher.
