Nissan announces management change in North America

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan today announced a management change in its sales and marketing organization as it aims to boost sales.

Tim Gilbert was appointed regional vice president, Southeast Region, Nissan North America, effective October 9. In this role, Gilbert is responsible for regional sales and marketing, incentive strategy, distribution, dealer network development, financial controls and dealer and customer satisfaction across Nissan's five-state Southeast Region.

"With his deep background in regional sales and dealer network strategy, Tim brings the right blend of field experience and new ideas to reinforce Nissan's position in this important region," said David Kershaw, division vice president, Nissan Sales & Regional Operations, Nissan North America. "We look forward to his leadership in the southeast as we further engage with our dealers, work to transform our business, and strengthen our performance."

Gilbert joined Nissan in 2006 as a dealer operations manager, rising through roles of increasing responsibility in the sales and marketing organization. Most recently, he was director, Dealer Network Strategy. He replaces Kershaw, who was promoted in September 2019 to lead all of Nissan's U.S. field sales and regional operations.

This management change comes as Nissan North America undertakes an aggressive plan to transform the way it does business including the launch of 10 new vehicles over 20 months.
