NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As part of its Ambition 2030 long-term vision, Nissan continues to build the future of mobility with a focus on electrification and technology innovations. To deliver on its electrification objectives, vehicle connectivity and importantly, customer expectations, Nissan has established the EV Transformation Office.

The EV Transformation Office is a new group that will oversee and accelerate transformation in the key strategic pillars of electrification and connected services.

"We are preparing ourselves for a sustainable future as we make significant investments to rapidly transform our business," said Mike Colleran, senior vice president, Nissan U.S. Marketing and Sales. "Establishing the EV Transformation Office strengthens our commitment to empower mobility and build on our track record and achievements in innovation and electrification."

Aditya Jairaj, currently director, EV Marketing and Sales Strategy, has been promoted to lead the EV Transformation Office as senior director, EV Strategy and Transformation. Jairaj joined Nissan in 2013 and has held a variety of positions within the company in the U.S. and Japan. Most recently, Jairaj managed in-market EVs and the launch of the all-new, all-electric Nissan Ariya. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University; a master's degree in engineering business management from University of Warwick; and an MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.

Colleran continued, "With Aditya's trusted leadership, customer-first approach and innovation mindset, I'm confident that he will continue to move us towards an exciting, sustainable, electric and connected future."

Over the next ten years, Nissan aims to introduce 23 electrified models for the Nissan and Infiniti brands globally, including 15 all-electric vehicles. With this, the company expects 40 percent of its U.S. sales to be fully electric, with even more to be electrified by 2030.
