In Europe, the next round of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup is scheduled for the Hungaroring. Lucas Ordóñez will add a sprint race weekend to his Endurance Cup duties this week, stepping in alongside Alex Buncombe while Mitsunori Takaboshi competes in Suzuka as the third driver in the No.46 GT-R in GT500. Sean Walkinshaw and Ricardo Sanchez will do battle aboard the No.22 GT-R GT3 entry in Hungary. The European Le Mans Series returns to Circuit Paul Ricard this week with 11 LM P2 Nissan-powered prototypes joining 20 Nissan-powered LM P3 entries. Renault-Nissan athlete Andrea Pizzitola returns for his second outing for Algarve Pro Racing, while NISMO athlete Harry Tincknell continues his championship charge for G-Drive Racing – entering this weekend with an eight point lead in the championship. In Australia, Nissan Motorsport will complete its final Super Sprint round at Sydney Motorsports Park, formerly known as Eastern Creek Raceway. The Sydney event is the final sprint round of the year before the endurance battles kick off next month at Sandown, Bathurst and the Gold Coast. ✈️ Ready for @BlancpainGT Sprint at #Hungaroring sharing #23 @NISMO Team RJN with @al_buncombe pic.twitter.com/u2iOJN7FRZ — Lucas Ordonez (@Lucas_Ordonez) August 25, 2016 Time for the next @BlancpainGT sprint series in Hungary this weekend!! @NISMO @RSanchezGP @nismo_mike @JRM_Racing pic.twitter.com/Eb7H1Noq0j — Sean Walkinshaw (@seanwalkinshaw) August 25, 2016 NISMO Calendar August 27-28 European Le Mans Series, Paul Ricard, France Blancpain GT Series, Sprint Cup, Hungaroring, Hungary Super GT, Suzuka, Japan Australian Supercars, Sydney Motorsports Park, Sydney, Australia September 3-4 FIA WEC, Mexico City, Mexico Micra Cup, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Canada September 10-11 Japanese Formula 3, Okayama September 17-18 FIA WEC, Circuit of The Americas, USA Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, Nurburgring, Germany Australian Supercars, Sandown 500, Melbourne, Australia Pirelli World Challenge, Sonoma Raceway, USA # # # Contact Jane Johnstone Marketing Communications Director Global Motorsport Communications Nissan/NISMO Phone: +44 7979 710646 Email: jane.johnstone@nissan.co.uk Paul Ryan Marketing and PR Manager Phone: +1 678 644 0404 Email: paul@nismosupport.com Issued by Nissan Files 2016 08 25 Huge weekend looms for NISMO athletes - Release.pdf (59 KB) Save Remove Download Share Photos / Galleries / Videos Subscribe to Email Alerts Files 2016 08 25 Huge weekend looms for NISMO athletes - Release.pdf (59 KB)
