Nissan announces senior management changes for North America

Nissan announces senior management changes for North America

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan is making several changes in the management team of its North American manufacturing, supply chain and purchasing organization. The changes are effective October 1, 2017.

John Martin, senior vice president, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Purchasing, Nissan North America is appointed Alliance executive vice president, Alliance Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain Management, Renault-Nissan Alliance. The Alliance converged manufacturing function covers global industrial strategy (including sourcing), production process engineering, production control and supply chain management.

In his new role, Martin will be in charge of further accelerating integration within the function and increasing operational synergies. Martin will report to Thierry Bolloré, Renault Chief Competitive Officer and Yasuhiro Yamauchi, Nissan Chief Competitive Officer.

Heath Holtz, currently vice president, Manufacturing, Nissan Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant, is promoted to senior vice president, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Purchasing, replacing Martin. In his new role, Holtz will be responsible for managing all facets of Nissan's manufacturing operations in the U.S. and Mexico, including all supply chain and purchasing operations.

Holtz was named vice president in Smyrna in 2016 after completing assignments in both Japan and the U.K. leading supply chain management and purchasing teams. He will report to José Muñoz, chief performance officer, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and chairman, Nissan North America.

Jeff Younginer, currently director, Product Quality, Smyrna, is promoted to vice president, Manufacturing, Nissan Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant, replacing Holtz. He will be responsible for the operation of the Smyrna plant, including safety, quality, operations, productivity and environmental compliance.  He will report to Holtz.
