Murano received an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation (for the 2022 model).1 In addition, Murano was recently named No. 1 in driver appeal among midsize SUVs in the J.D. Power 2022 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.
The 2023 Murano is on sale now with a choice of four well-equipped grades – S, SV, SL and Platinum – with a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)2 of $34,160.
Defined by emotional design
With a heritage extending back two decades and a name inspired by the renowned Italian glassworks, the 2023 Nissan Murano continues to make a bold first impression thanks to its expressive design. Nissan's signature V-motion grille – with new brand logo – and C-shaped LED signature lighting define Murano's front end, while a floating-roof effect and aerodynamically sculpted roof further pique visual interest.
Sharply styled 18-inch wheels are standard on S and SV grades, with SL featuring 20-inch machined aluminum-alloy wheels and Platinum boasting unique Dark Hyper Silver 20-inch wheels. Two new exterior paint colors are offered for the 2023 model year: Super Black and Deep Ocean Blue Pearl.
An available Midnight Edition package sharpens the look of Murano SV by adding black accents on the front grille and lower front bumper, exterior mirrors and lower door side molding, along with black exterior badges, 20-inch gloss black wheels, illuminated kick plates and black splash guards.
Murano is equally impressive inside, with a "social lounge" concept welcoming all occupants, as well as a low instrument panel design. In addition to generous room for both rows of passengers, Murano offers flexible cargo room thanks to 60/40 split rear seats that fold flat into the floor for additional luggage space. A motion-activated power liftgate (on SL and Platinum grades) makes accessing the expansive cargo area even easier and hands-free.
As the pinnacle of Murano's design, the Platinum grade elevates the cabin with matte wood trim, semi-aniline leather-appointed seating with diamond-quilted inserts and contrast micro-piping on the doors, seats and console.
Strong powertrain with available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive
Backing up Murano's visceral visual appeal is a responsive powertrain. The standard 3.5-liter DOHC V6 delivers 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque, coupled to an advanced Xtronic transmission. Both front-wheel drive and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive are available.
The V6, which is equipped with variable valve timing and variable intake technology to boost power and efficiency, allows Murano to deliver fuel economy of up to 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway (FWD).3
The reassurance of safety and driver-assistance technology
Safety is another key attribute for Murano, starting with standard Nissan Safety Shield 360®, a suite of six Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, and more. Building on that strong base, Murano offers available driver-assistance technologies including class-exclusive Intelligent Around View® Monitor4, available Intelligent Cruise Control and available Traffic Sign Recognition, which can display recently recognized speed limit information in the 7.0-inch Advanced Drive-Assist™ display.
Convenient connectivity
All grades of the 2023 Murano feature easy-to-use connectivity, with standard NissanConnect® featuring an 8.0-inch touchscreen, two illuminated front USB ports (one Type-A, one Type-C), SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Two additional charge-only USB ports (one Type-A, one Type-C) allow rear passengers to keep devices charged.
Also available is Nissan Door-to-Door Navigation, with online point-of-interest search, SiriusXM® Travel Link and SiriusXM Traffic™. An available Bose® premium audio system features 11 speakers, including a dual driver subwoofer.
