The Nissan Pathfinder was all-new for the 2022 model year, marking a "return to rugged" with a bold design and notable capability. The 2024 model year continues to inspire owners as much for the weekday commute as for the week-long road trip.
The 2024 Nissan Pathfinder is on sale now with a choice of five grades – S, SV, Rock Creek, SL and Platinum – with a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)4 of $36,650. (See full pricing details for all 2024 Pathfinder grades.)
Platinum pampers the family
While every 2024 Nissan Pathfinder features a high level of standard equipment, the Platinum grade elevates the family SUV with unexpected premium materials and features. Eye-catching touches include 20-inch alloy wheels, chrome side sills, premium leather steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, Bronze Metallic Brushed interior trim and semi-aniline leather-appointed seating with quilted inserts.
Meanwhile, advanced technology assists the driver: a 12.3-inch full-color meter display, head-up display, Bose® 13-speaker premium audio system and a motion-activated power liftgate. Pathfinder Platinum also treats owners and passengers to a panoramic moonroof, heated rear seats, climate-controlled front seats and a 120-volt power outlet for the second row.
Confidence and control
Every Pathfinder features standard Nissan Safety Shield® 360, a suite of technologies that includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking.
Additional technology includes standard Intelligent Driver Alertness, Rear Door Alert and rear sonar sensors, plus available driver-assistance features include Intelligent Around View® Monitor, Blind Spot Intervention, front sonar sensors and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Available Intelligent 4WD (standard on Rock Creek) provides even greater driving confidence on a variety of surfaces. The system features a Drive and Terrain Mode switch that helps optimize power delivery depending on the situation, with seven available modes: Standard, Sport, Eco, Snow, Sand, Mud/Rut and Tow.
Capable performance
A proven and responsive 3.5-liter direct-injection V6 engine provides 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque in Pathfinder. Rock Creek grades are rated for up to 295 hp and 270 lb-ft with premium fuel5. Coupled to a 9-speed automatic transmission, Pathfinder's powertrain provides strong, confident acceleration. Fuel economy6 is rated at up to 21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined for four-wheel-drive models. Idle stop/start – standard on all grades – helps save fuel by shutting off the engine when stationary, such as waiting at a traffic light.
Convenient technology for everyone on board
Pathfinder is packed with features to keep drivers informed and all passengers entertained. A 7-inch digital meter display is standard, while a 12.3-inch full-color digital dashboard and a 10.8-inch head-up display are available. For music, phone connectivity and more, a standard 8-inch or available 9-inch touchscreen feature standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Pathfinder SL and Platinum add wireless Apple CarPlay® and a wireless device charger. A Bose® 13-speaker premium audio system is standard on Platinum and available on SL.
Pathfinder features four standard USB ports (five on SL, six on Platinum) and an available 120-volt second-row power outlet (Platinum only).
Pathfinder drivers taking road trips and other long highway journeys will appreciate the availability of ProPILOT Assist2. The advanced, hands-on driver assistance feature combines steering assist and Intelligent Cruise Control to help with acceleration, braking and steering in heavy highway traffic and open highway driving. The system uses a forward-facing camera, forward-facing radar and other sensors to help keep Pathfinder centered in its lane. In stop-and-go traffic, ProPILOT Assist can even bring the vehicle to a complete stop and hold it in place until traffic moves again. ProPILOT Assist is standard on Pathfinder SV and Rock Creek.
On Pathfinder SL and Platinum, ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link elevates the system's performance by using data from the navigation system to proactively adjust the vehicle's speed before curves and freeway exits2.
For 2024, available NissanConnect® Services now includes a three-year trial (up from a six-month trial previously). The telematics feature is standard on SV grade and higher, and works with the MyNISSAN smartphone app. On equipped vehicles, features include remote door lock/unlock, remote engine start/stop, vehicle health report, emergency calling and Nissan Skill for Amazon Alexa®7.
Spacious, accommodating interior
The 2024 Nissan Pathfinder provides impressive interior space, with three rows of seats and standard seating for eight (seven with optional second-row captain's chairs). The EZ FLEX® second-row seats conveniently tip forward to provide access to the third row, and feature Nissan's LATCH AND GLIDE™ technology, allowing them to tip and slide even while a child safety seat is installed8.
Pathfinder's cargo area generously provides 16.6 cubic feet of storage with all rows of seats upright, expanding to 80.5 cubic feet with the second and third rows lowered. A power liftgate is available on SV and standard on SL, while Platinum adds a motion-activated power liftgate.
For drivers looking to bring along trailers, campers or outdoor toys, Pathfinder is rated for up to 3,500 pounds of standard towing capacity on S, SV and SL grades. A rating of up to 6,000 pounds is standard on Rock Creek and Platinum and available on SV and SL, when properly equipped.
