David Sliger is vice president, Regional Powertrain Operations, Nissan Americas. In his position, Sliger is responsible for leading efforts to develop and implement strategies that enhance the performance, cost efficiency and competitiveness of Powertrain operations across the Americas region.
He is also vice president of the Decherd Powertrain Plant, where he oversees the organization's entire engine product operations.
Sliger joined Nissan in 1997, and has held various roles of increasing responsibility within Nissan's manufacturing operations in the U.S.
Previously, Sliger was vice president, Manufacturing, at Nissan Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant, where he oversaw safety, quality, operations, productivity, and environmental compliance at Nissan's assembly plant in Canton, Mississippi. Prior to this role, Sliger was senior director, Manufacturing Operations, Nissan Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant, Nissan North America.
Sliger holds a bachelor's degree from Trevecca Nazarene University and is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
