Four Nissan vehicles steal hearts this Valentine's Day as "Most Loved Vehicles in America"

2014 Nissan LEAF™

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Celebrate Valentine's Day with your loved one, behind the wheel of a Nissan. Today, StrategicVision, a leading research-based consultancy, revealed the vehicles most-loved by owners, a distinction determined by a vehicle's ability to create a strong emotional response with buyers. Four Nissan models top the list as "Most Loved in America" in their respective categories – LEAF® (Small APT Car), Sentra (Small Car), Armada (Full-Size Utility) and JUKE (Entry CUV).

StrategicVision's 1,000-point "Most Loved" scale is based on commitment, overall satisfaction, top emotional responses and repurchase loyalty. As rated by new car buyers, points are awarded on a scale of one ("Hate It") through seven ("Love It"), with only the best-of-the-best igniting "love." Final scores were calculated using the reported "Love" score for each vehicle attribute coupled with dealership experiences to provide a Most Loved Index™. LEAF earned the top spot in its category with a total score of 541. Sentra tied the Dodge Dart for top honors in its segment with 587 points, while Armada and JUKE earned 602 and 593 points respectively to best their categories.

"It is great to know Nissan owners love their vehicles as much as we do," said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations. "The passion and dedication that goes into creating Nissan products is coming through in our customers' emotional connection to their vehicles, and we are pleased to see this ultimate expression of loyalty awarded on Valentine's Day."

Consumer demand for the 100-percent electric Nissan LEAF continues to gain momentum, with sales increasing 92.6 percent in January 2014 (versus January 2013) to 1,252 units. LEAF seats up to five passengers and boasts an estimated driving range on a fully-charged battery of 84 miles and MPGe ratings of 126 city, 101 highway and 114 combined.

The affordable 2014 Nissan Sentra compact sedan offers a "class above" look and feel inside and out, along with refined performance, driver comfort, quietness and features. Available technology includes NissanConnectTM with Navigation with NissanConnectTM Apps smartphone integration for iPhone® and Android, Bose® Premium audio system and RearView Monitor.

The 2014 Armada, Nissan's full-size SUV, is available in three well-equipped models, each offered in a choice of 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive and equipped with a standard 317-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 engine. Armada's family adventure-ready features include comfortable seating for eight passengers, 97 cubic feet of cargo space and a maximum towing capacity of 9,000 pounds (when properly equipped).

JUKE, Nissan's boldly styled sport cross vehicle, looks exactly like it drives – fun, muscular and exciting. It features a standard 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG™) Turbo, 16-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy inline 4-cylinder engine rated at 188 horsepower. JUKE is offered in four trim levels, including the performance-themed JUKE NISMO.
