Jason Menges

Jason D. Menges is vice president and general counsel, Legal, Americas. Appointed to this position in February 2024, Menges provides legal advice and counsel on a broad range of corporate governance, transactional, litigation, and legal compliance matters for Nissan's business activities across the Americas region.

Menges has served in a variety of roles since joining Nissan in 2011, including his most recent role as vice president and general counsel, Legal, North America. He has managed legal teams in many substantive areas in the U.S., including the defense of class action and complex commercial litigation, product liability and regulatory, cybersecurity and privacy, labor and employment, and corporate and transactions. He also completed a foreign assignment in Paris, France, where he was responsible for talent management activities for executive management of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.

Prior to Nissan, Menges practiced law with national firms in Chicago and Detroit, where he represented and counseled business clients on the full range of legal issues, including automotive contracts, distribution and franchise law and intellectual property.

He is a double alumnus of the University of Michigan, holding degrees from the Law School (J.D.) and the Business School (B.B.A.).
