Leon Martinez is vice president and chief human resources officer, Nissan Americas. Appointed to this position in June 2023, Martinez is responsible for overseeing all HR activities for Nissan's operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America.
Martinez' Nissan career spans nine years. Most recently he served as division general manager, Global Talent Management, Nissan Motor Corporation Ltd., based at the company's headquarters in Yokohama, Japan. He has held several HR leadership roles in the Americas region including vice president, Latin America and director, Nissan Mexicana. Previously, Martinez also supported non-manufacturing functions as a global HR business partner in Japan.
Martinez holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Instituto de Estudios Superior de Tamaulipas A.C.
