What's New – February 2020
Just in time for a Leap Year February, the 2020 Frontier pickup takes a jump into the future with an all-new 3.8-liter V6 engine and 9-speed transmission combination that previews the heart of an all-new next-generation Frontier. The 2020 Frontier, the last featuring the current body design, goes on sale later this spring.

Also added to this edition of What's New is the 2020 LEAF, which offers a number of significant enhancements – including the addition of Nissan Safety Shield^® 360 across all grade levels and a new pedestrian safety tone for forward movement under 18.6 mph.

In addition, full pricing is now included for 2020 TITAN and TITAN XD models. The totally redesigned-for-2020 full-size trucks are on sale now.

2020 Nissan Frontier

As one successful era ends, another is just beginning in the heart of the 2020 Nissan Frontier – which features an all-new 3.8-liter direct injection V6 engine and all-new 9-speed automatic transmission. The new 310-horsepower engine offers best-in-class horsepower¹ while also providing improved fuel economy² and emissions performance. Both the engine and transmission will be key elements in the next-generation Frontier.

Development of the new engine focused on the needs and demands of truck owners in the U.S. The engine features 93 percent new or redesigned parts, and the powerplant underwent extensive testing in North America. Key technical features in the design of the all-new engine include the direct injection gasoline system, cylinder heads with integrated exhaust manifolds, a variable displacement oil pump, variable timing control and a variable tumble control valve.

The new 9-speed automatic is similar to the one introduced on the 2020 TITAN and is designed to maximize powertrain efficiency and provide enhanced acceleration feel.

The 2020 Frontier is available in rear-wheel drive or available shift-on-the-fly 4-wheel drive system with 2WD/4HI/4LO modes and electronically controlled part-time transfer case. The suspension includes an all-steel double-wishbone front suspension and solid axle leaf rear suspension with overslung leaf springs with long suspension stroke for optimized off-road ride and ground clearance. Steering is provided by a power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system, while 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes are also standard on all grades.

The 2020 Frontier offers a number of other upgrades for the new model year, including standard push button start. In addition, a number of features are now standard for all grades: leather shift knob, manual tilt steering, power door locks and power windows with driver side auto-down.

The 2020 Frontier, which marks the last model year of the current generation. It will go on sale in spring 2020, with pricing to be announced at that time.

2020 Nissan LEAF

As the technology flagship for the entire Nissan lineup, the Nissan LEAF has been the embodiment of Nissan Intelligent Mobility since the debut of the original LEAF in 2010. Now, entering its second decade, LEAF receives a number of significant enhancements for 2020 – starting with the addition of Nissan Safety Shield^® 360 across all grade levels.

For 2020, five models are available with LEAF – the 40 kWh S and SV, along with the 62 kWh S PLUS, SV PLUS and top-of-the-lineup SL PLUS. Key additions for 2020 include:

• Nissan Safety Shield 360 now standard on all models: Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning Lane Departure Warning and High Beam Assist
• Additional standard features on all models include Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention and Blind Spot Intervention
• Standard 8-inch color touchscreen display on all 40 kWh LEAF grades
• LEAF S features standard Apple CarPlay^® and Android AutoTM
• Driver and front passenger knee supplemental air bags, rear seat-mounted outboard side-impact supplemental air bags added to all models
• Intelligent Around View^® Monitor and Intelligent Driver Alertness added to SV Technology Package
• New Sunset Drift ChromaFlair^® premium color (late availability)

The 2020 LEAF also comes with a new sound – the car's two pedestrian safety sounds receive updates in tone and volume. For the U.S. market, LEAF uses a new tone known as "Canto" (derived from the Latin verb for "I sing") for forward movement under 18.6 mph and a pulsing chime when reversing. To make the sounds more apparent, an additional speaker was added inside the engine compartment.

The Nissan LEAF S and LEAF SV come complete with 110 kW electric motor, 40 kWh lithium-ion battery with 149-mile range¹, 6.6 kW onboard charger, regenerative braking system, e-Pedal with hill hold assist and portable trickle charge cable (120V EVSE). The Nissan LEAF PLUS adds a 160 kW electric motor, 62 kWh Lithium-ion battery with up to 226-mile range² (LEAF S PLUS), quick charge port and 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

Every 2020 Nissan LEAF is offered with a limited warranty³ covering defects in materials or workmanship for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, for the lithium-ion battery pack. Nissan also provides a limited warranty against battery capacity loss below nine bars of capacity as shown on the vehicle's battery capacity level gauge for the first eight years or 100,000 miles for all models.

2020 Nissan TITAN and TITAN XD

For 2020, Nissan introduces a bold new TITAN featuring substantial powertrain updates, unique exterior and interior styling among trim levels, and standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 across all grade levels. All told, the new 2020 TITAN offers the most standard power, safety and technology in its class¹.

TITAN's new "Powerful Warrior" exterior features unique grille designs and styling, providing a higher degree of differentiation among grade levels. The refined interior design offers first-class accommodations, an expansive new moon-roof and the largest standard touchscreen in class².

The retuned 5.6-liter Endurance^® V8 offers best-in-class 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque³ – now matched with a new 9-speed automatic transmission. Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology across 2020 TITAN lineup includes class-exclusive standard Rear Automatic Braking⁴.

TITAN is again covered by Nissan's "America's Best Truck Warranty"⁵ – featuring bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5-years/100,000-miles, whichever comes first. The warranty includes basic and powertrain coverage.

The 2020 TITAN is offered in King Cab and Crew Cab body configurations in both 4x2 and 4x4 drive and in five well-equipped graded levels – S, SV, PRO-4X (4x4 only), SL and Platinum Reserve. The TITAN XD is offered in Crew Cab body configurations and 4x4 drive, and it also features S, SV, PRO-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve grade levels.

The 2020 TITAN XD remains the heavy hauler of the TITAN family with a heavy duty frame, brakes, and trailering technologies setting it apart for customers looking for extra capability.

2020 Nissan Sentra

The all-new 2020 Sentra represents a breakthrough for Nissan's popular compact sedan – with eye-catching new styling, a comprehensive suite of intelligent driving technologies including standard Nissan Safety Shield 360, advanced connectivity functions and confident performance provided by a new platform and engine. The 2020 Sentra is available in three well-equipped grade levels, S, SV and SR.

Now in its eighth generation, the 2020 Sentra has been transformed from a traditional compact sedan to a powerful presence that shares the muscular, sporty design elements from models like the Maxima and Altima. It also features a new refined, more luxurious interior, setting new standards for quality and comfort.

Sentra's driving experience is also completely upgraded. A new, fuel-efficient 2.0-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine replaces the previous 1.8-liter design, delivering 149 horsepower and 146 ft-lb of torque – increases of 20 percent and 17 percent respectively. Sentra's top-level driving dynamics are provided by a new independent rear suspension matched to a McPherson strut front suspension with twin-tube shock absorbers. Also new is a responsive dual pinion rack electric power steering system.

Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems, is standard on all 2020 Sentra grade levels. 2020 Nissan Kicks

The 2020 Kicks compact SUV is designed to fit the needs of singles or couples looking for expressive styling, personal technology, smart functionality and advanced safety features at an affordable price.

For the 2020 model year, Kicks adds standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology. Part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility strategy, Safety Shield 360 includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, radar-based Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and High Beam Assist. In addition, Rear Door Alert is now standard on Kicks SV and SR grades.

Every 2020 Kicks comes with a standard 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine rated at 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. Combined with a smooth, fuel-efficient Xtronic transmission, fuel economy is rated 31 mpg city, 36 mpg highway and 33 mpg combined².

The Kicks exterior combines emotion and practicality and includes Nissan design signatures such as V-motion grille and "floating roof" with a "wrap-around visor" look. Kicks is offered in a range of seven exterior colors – plus five two-tone combinations. 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport

Slotted strategically between the Nissan Kicks and Rogue, the refreshed 2020 Rogue Sport is a critical vehicle in Nissan's popular CUV lineup. Most prominent among the 2020 Rogue Sport refinements is the new exterior design that offers a more technical feel – helping provide a greater separation from its Nissan Rogue stablemate. Key design elements include the fresh new front end appearance, along with redesigned rear tail lamps. Trim level content and option packages have also been revised. The advanced Nissan Safety Shield 360 technologies are now standard on all 2020 Rogue Sport models, including the base S grade.

The restyled Rogue Sport interior features updated trim finishers, while combining a wide-open feeling with areas for personal space. Seating includes a standard 6-way adjustable driver's seat, 4-way adjustable front passenger seat, 60/40 split fold-down rear seat with rear seat center armrest and rear seat heating/cooling center console vents.

Behind the 2nd row seat is up to 22.9 cu. ft. of cargo space (up to 61.1 cu. ft. with the 2nd row seat folded down), accessible through the wide rear door. Rogue Sport also offers the innovative class-exclusive² Divide-N-Hide^® Cargo System, which is standard on SV and SL grades.

2020 Nissan Pathfinder

The seven-passenger 2020 Pathfinder is offered in 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive configurations and a choice of four well-equipped grade levels: S, SV, SL and Platinum. For 2020, Pathfinder continues to offer a wide range of available technologies and convenience features, along with the popular Rock Creek Edition package.

All Pathfinder models are equipped with a 284-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 with Direct Injection Gasoline™ system and Xtronic transmission. Standard maximum towing capacity is a best-in-class of up to 6,000 pounds¹ (when properly equipped), giving owners the ability to tow two-axle recreational trailers.

Pathfinder's stylish, adventure-ready interior features Nissan's innovative EZ Flex Seating System™ with LATCH AND GLIDE™, a 2nd row tilt and glide seat that allows easy 3rd row access with a child safety seat still installed. 2020 Nissan Murano

The 2020 Murano is available in four well-equipped grades: Murano S, Murano SV, Murano SL and Murano Platinum. Each comes equipped with a 260-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6 connected to an advanced Xtronic transmission and is available in front-wheel drive or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.

Now in its third generation, Murano received a comprehensive refreshening for the 2019 model year, including revised exterior and interior treatments. For 2020, Murano adds expanded availability of Nissan Safety Shield 360 – a suite of six advanced active safety and driver-assist technologies.

2020 Nissan Armada

For 2020, Armada adds a new 22" Wheel Package with 22x8-inch 14-spoke forged aluminum-alloy wheels and 275/50R22 all-season tires (standard on Platinum Reserve grade). In addition, heated outside mirrors are now standard on all grade levels.
Armada, Nissan's flagship SUV, is designed for full-size family adventures on and off-road – with seating for up to eight occupants and ample, flexible cargo space. With its 5.6-liter Endurance^® V8 with best-in-class¹ standard 390 horsepower, Armada also offers best-in-class standard 8,500-pound towing capacity in both 4WD and 2WD configurations².

The 2020 Armada is available in a choice of four grade levels – SV, SL, Platinum and Platinum Reserve – and in 4x2 or 4x4 drive configurations.

Among the many advanced technology systems available for 2020 is the standard Intelligent Rear View Mirror⁴, which uses a high-resolution camera mounted on the rear of the vehicle to project a clear image onto an LCD monitor built into the standard rearview mirror. A switch located at the bottom of the mirror allows the driver to access either the traditional rearview mirror system or the Intelligent Rear View Mirror.

Armada's extensive suite of available advanced safety and convenience systems includes Intelligent Distance Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning/Intelligent Lane Intervention, Blind Spot Warning, Intelligent Back-up Intervention, Remote Engine Start System⁵, Family Entertainment System and Intelligent Around View^® Monitor.

Four option packages are offered, including the Driver Package, Premium Package, Captain's Chairs Package and 22" Wheel Package.

2020 Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo

The 2020 NV200 Compact Cargo is offered in two grades, S and SV, along with a number of option packages that allow buyers to create the exact vehicle for their specific business needs.

For the 2020 model year, the NV200 features a number of enhancements:

The 2019 Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo Van's smart functionality features include a small turning radius for easy parking and maneuvering in city traffic and a comfortable, commanding driving position. It has interior cargo space that boasts 122 cubic feet and is capable of fitting a 40 x 48-inch pallet sideways with access by convenient 40/60-split rear doors or sliding doors on each side. In addition, integrated mounting points are included to allow for third party upfitting of racks and bins.

Powering the front-wheel drive Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo is a 131-horsepower 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine matched with an Xtronic transmission. Fuel economy⁵ is rated at 24 mpg city, along with 26 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined.

2020 Nissan NV Passenger Van

2020 Nissan Rogue

The 2020 Rogue is available in three well-equipped grade levels – S, SV and SL, each offering a highly desirable combination of compact overall size and ample interior roominess. Rogue, Nissan's top-selling model, features a full array of Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies – starting with the advanced ProPILOT Assist¹. 2020 Nissan Maxima

Following a mid-cycle freshening for the 2019 model year, the 2020 Maxima offers additional enhancements, including making Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of active safety technologies, standard across the entire lineup. 2020 Nissan Versa

The completely redesigned Nissan Versa subcompact car is poised to redefine the subcompact car segment. Already the sales-leading nameplate in the category¹, the 2020 Versa offers a new level of refinement with a dramatic design and is loaded with technology and safety features not usually found in the segment – all for a price fitting buyers in the segment.

The third of four popular Nissan cars to be redesigned in the past year, the all-new Versa – with a clear design expression of the Nissan brand – will serve the more than five million customers who buy sedans each year in the U.S. Sedans remain a popular choice for Gen X, Millennials and multicultural customers.

The new design features lower, wider and longer exterior dimensions while retaining Versa's roomy interior space. 2020 Nissan GT-R

Few vehicles in the world can be instantly identified by just three letters. But to motoring enthusiasts everywhere, "GT-R" has become synonymous with excitement, high performance and unparalleled refinement. The 2020 Nissan GT-R will come in three trim levels in most markets: GT-R Premium, GT-R NISMO and GT-R Track – along with the GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition.

For 2020, the GT-R's 565-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged engine – each handcrafted by its own Takumi technician – incorporates new turbochargers, which help increase the engine's low rpm response due to an abradable seal, providing tighter clearances and a 5% increase in efficiency. Overall, GT-R has a sharper engine response in and out of corners, making the driving experience more rewarding and richer than ever before. The exhaust manifolds, inspired by racing technology, have optimized turbo flange attachment points, which allow for easier servicing and potential tuning, without touching the exhaust manifold. The GT-R's signature exhaust note is the product of a new titanium muffler, featuring chrome finishers with burnished blue tips.

Every 2020 GT-R features a revised 6-speed dual-clutch transmission with a refined "R mode," made for both road and track. The electronically controlled suspension has also been tuned to provide better cornering stability and a smoother ride. The steering is more linear and precise than ever, requiring minimal corrections at speeds of up to 186 mph. A new brake booster increases the initial braking response by engaging with less pedal stroke, resulting in enhanced stopping power and feel.

The GT-R's cabin represents the ideal blend of luxury and sport. The distinct driver-oriented cockpit has comfortable yet supportive seats for both front and rear passengers. The center dashboard integrates navigation and audio controls and an 8-inch capacitive touch-panel monitor. The large icons on the display screen inform the driving experience without distracting from it.

For 2020, the GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition celebrates the GT-R's rich heritage. The special edition comes in three heritage-era, two-tone exterior color combinations meant to represent the GT-R's liveries from the Japan GP series – Bayside (Wangan) Blue with white racing stripes and blue accents on the wheel spokes, Pearl White with red stripes and Super Silver with white stripes.

Inside the 50th Anniversary Edition is a special gray interior color scheme. Additional 50th anniversary features include unique steering wheel and shift knob trim, special seat embossing, an Alcantara^® headliner with unique stitching, Alcantara-wrapped sunvisors, and more.

2020 GT-R NISMO

The 2020 Nissan GT-R NISMO features race car-inspired upgrades and tuning improvements that maximize its exhilarating performance. Setting the most potent and exclusive of all GT-Rs apart from the rest of the pack is the amount of carbon fiber found throughout the GT-R NISMO, including the front and rear bumpers, front fenders, hood, roof, side sill covers, trunk and rear spoiler. Each component has been improved to cut weight, increase downforce and enhance aerodynamics. These exterior parts alone have resulted in a total weight savings of 23 pounds, in addition to nearly 44 pounds of reductions from other upgrades and new components.

The front fenders now resemble those on the GT3 GT-R. Scalloped vents help funnel hot air away from the engine bay and provide exceptional downforce onto the front tires, without additional drag. They also improve aerodynamics by smoothing out airflow along the body, with special consideration given to avoiding the rear spoiler, promoting high-speed stability. A new compression process gives the carbon fiber roof a lightweight, tight weave.

The 2020 GT-R NISMO's exclusive 20-inch RAYS forged aluminum wheels are lighter than before and incorporate a nine-spoke design that enhances their rigidity. Newly designed Dunlop tires, with a wider tread and fewer grooves, increase the contact patch by 11%. This results in higher cornering force, enhanced steering response and improved rolling resistance when compared with the previous model.

Inside the cabin, exclusive GT-R NISMO front seats are designed to focus on holding the shoulder blades and lower body points, giving the driver a better sense of car and body as one.

Nissan's 3.8-liter V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged engine – each handcrafted by its own Takumi technician – remains the heart of the GT-R's drivetrain. The GT-R NISMO features an exclusive turbocharger design – direct from the GT-R GT3 race car – with a modified turbine shape and fewer blades. This optimizes the flow rate and enhances the acceleration response by 20%, without a loss of horsepower. The car's revised 6-speed dual-clutch transmission features a refined "R mode" that not only shifts faster but also optimizes gear selection, especially when exiting corners. The car's exhaust note is the product of a revised titanium exhaust with handcrafted burnished blue tips.

The 2020 GT-R NISMO also features updated suspension tuning, which improves cornering stability, with enhanced yaw rate response and smoother ride quality. The steering features better linearity and precision than ever, requiring minimal corrections at speeds of up to 186 mph. The absolute performance theme is also fittingly reflected by the addition of a carbon ceramic brake system. The combination of the Brembo carbon ceramic rotors — enlarged to 16.1 inches up front and 15.3 inches at the rear — and Brembo calipers significantly improve reaction time, durability and overall stopping performance. The newly developed high-rigidity calipers are dipped in bright yellow paint that can resist temperatures of more than 1,832 degrees Fahrenheit.

2020 GT-R Track Edition
For those inclined to take their GT-R to a race circuit, Nissan offers the revised and very potent 2020 GT-R Track Edition, which comes with an optional carbon fiber roof that sports a clean, tight weave made possible by a new construction process.

The engine (for U.S. models) is borrowed from the famed GT-R NISMO, with newly redesigned turbochargers from the latest GT3 series GT-R race car. This results in a 20% increase in pedal-down acceleration reaction time and 600 horsepower.

Optional on the Track Edition are special Brembo carbon ceramic rotors and calipers. Made of carbon and silica carbide, the rotors (16.1 inches front and 15.3 inches rear) are nearly as hard as diamonds. Paired with the performance brake pads, they generate more friction, which translates into better feel and control in all types of braking situations.

The 2020 GT-R Track Edition will be available later this year.

2020 Nissan 370Z Coupe

The big news for the 2020 370Z Coupe is the addition of a new 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition package, which celebrates five decades of sports car passion. The 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition is offered exclusively on the 370Z Coupe Sport grade and is available with both the 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmissions. Its unique appearance pays tribute to the renowned Brock Racing Enterprises (BRE) livery that adorned the famous BRE Datsun racers of the late 1960s and early 1970s – in a choice of two exterior two-tone color options: White/Red or Silver/Black with bold door stripes.

Other exterior features include unique red wheel accents, black outside mirrors, 50th Anniversary side marker decals and 50th Anniversary rear badge. In addition, the standard Sport front chin and rear spoilers have been deleted.

The car's unique interior treatment features leather-appointed and synthetic suede sport seats with red accents and logos, 50th Anniversary embossing on the seatbacks, leather or Alcantara^® steering wheel with top red stripe, 50th Anniversary badges on the tachometer and console, synthetic suede door panel inserts with red stitching, red contrast stitching and piping throughout the interior, dark silver 50th Anniversary kickplates and 4-way power heated seats.

2020 Nissan 370Z NISMO

The 2020 370Z NISMO is once again instantly recognized by its GT-R-inspired functional and fully integrated aerodynamic body pieces – which provide an aggressive and more aerodynamic appearance, along with optimizing front and rear downforce. The standard 19-inch NISMO super-lightweight forged aluminum-alloy wheels by RAYS feature a twin-five spoke design and a charcoal gray machine finish. Inside, the unique NISMO-styled interior features black-and-red Recaro^® leather-appointed seats with Alcantara^® accents.

The 370Z NISMO is powered by a potent 350-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control. Torque is rated at 276 lb-ft. Two transmission choices are offered for the 370Z NISMO model – a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission with standard SynchroRev Match^® or a refined 7-speed automatic with Downshift Rev Matching, Adaptive Shift Control and manual shift mode with paddle shifters.

The 370Z NISMO also features a refined 4-wheel independent suspension, NISMO-branded strut tower brace for enhanced body rigidity and a pair of performance dampers to help minimize road-input vibrations and help contribute to the 370Z NISMO's high levels of handling and performance feel. 2020 Nissan Altima

Following the introduction of a totally new generation design just last year, the Nissan Altima maintains its standing in 2020 as one of the most exciting, advanced vehicles in its class with its lean, architectural styling and confidence-inspiring driving performance. Altima again features available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and exclusive Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies such as ProPILOT Assist.

The 2.0-liter VC-Turbo inline 4-cylinder, the world's first production-ready variable compression turbo inline 4-cylinder, delivers near V6-level performance with 4-cylinder fuel economy. The engine is rated at 248 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque (premium fuel) and is available on Altima SR and Platinum VC-Turbo front-wheel drive grades. Both engines are matched with a next-generation Xtronic transmission.

In addition to its standard front-wheel drive, the 2020 Altima also offers available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, which is available on all trim levels equipped with the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. The system uses an advanced torque split control strategy that automatically redistributes torque to the wheels (from 0:100 front up to 50:50 front-to-rear) according to road and driving conditions.
